Home Reversion
What is Home Reversion
A Home Reversion plan is a type of Equity Release scheme. These plans allow you to sell a percentage, or all of your home in order to receive a cash lump sum. You will receive a guarantee that you can stay in your home for the rest of your life.
Although you will not receive the full current market value of your home, you will be able to live rent free for the rest of your lives or until you enter long term care.
The Benefits of a Home Reversion Plan
- If you only release a percentage of your home you still own the rest, as such can still leave the remainder to your family as an inheritance and benefit from any future house price increase
- You do not have to make any monthly repayments
- The money received is tax free
- You could potentially reduce your inheritance tax liability.
I contacted Braemar to discuss the option of equity release. I was sent a list of questions to have answered
in preparation for the Braemar adviser calling us. This then enabled her to qualify me for the most suitable option
to meet my requirements. Everything was done for me. The only thing I had to do was contact a Solicitor for his advice,
as per your instructions. The transition went through very smoothly and was completed within 2/3 months and I am now mortgage
free and still have part ownership in my property. I would highly recommend using Braemar to anyone.

Simply enter your details into the form and we will call you within the next working day.
How Much Will It Cost Me?
Braemar offer a free, no obligation discussion with one of our qualified, independent advisers (with no home visit required). This allows us to find out whether a home reversion plan would be suitable for you and if so, recommend how much money you could release. Once you have all the facts and figures to hand, if you decide not to proceed, no fee will be charged. Only if you apply for and complete a plan do we charge a fee of 2.5% of the amount released with a minimum of £495.00. You may be required to pay a valuation fee and will need to appoint a solicitor.
